Paul Austin

Paul began working in the Building industry in Brisbane in 1981 as a Carpenter and joiner; progressing from Industrial Developments through to the Commercial and finally in the Residential Sector as a Building Contractor. Paul’s career in the building industry has given him opportunity to work in Urban areas of South East Queensland, Regional locations in Central and Northern parts of the State, as well as rural and isolated sites in locations such as Fraser Island and Lamington National Park. This cross section of experience has given him a unique understanding of the varying and contrasting conditions Building practitioners throughout Queensland are exposed to.

Having spent more than 39 years in the Queensland sun, Paul decided to enrol in an Undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying in 2015. He enjoyed one of the early units of building surveying within this degree so much, he decided to make the switch to Certification in 2016.  He completed the Associate Degree of Building Surveying in March of 2019.
