Patrick Clifton

Patrick is a town planner with in over 20 years’ public and private sector experience, both in the United Kingdom and Australia. He commenced his career as a town planner in Cairns, Australia, where he was involved in a number of large coastal mixed-use schemes for both the private and public sector.  Whilst working in the UK, Patrick was involved in a number of city centre residential and commercial schemes and major mixed-use developments. On returning to Australia Patrick worked in South Australia for 4 years before relocating to Queensland.

Patrick has experience across a broad range of development issues, across a number of planning jurisdictions and has developed excellent communication skills when dealing with a range of stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning – University of Queensland
  • Jurist Doctor – Student – University of Southern Queensland (2012 – Present)

Awards:

  • 2014 Main Street, South Australia – Public Space and Streetscape Design Award, for the construction of the ‘Solomontown Beach Plaza’.
  • 2013 Planning Institute of Australia, South Australian Division, Awards for Planning Excellence – Port Pirie Retail and Industrial/Employment Lands Study.
